Some suggestions on dealing with spam

I set up a filter that checks the to: and cc: fields of all mail against
my "known" email addresses.

Whatever isn't sent to me explicitly goes into the trash.

I take a quick look at the trash before deleting it in case someone I
know sent me a mail via bcc: (sometimes happens).

When I did this, of my 20 odd bits of spam (when I was on medianone) per
day, about 18-19 wound up straight in the trash.

Now that my ISP has "changed," it is interesting to note that spam freq.
has dropped precipitously - to 1 or 2 a day.  Either attbi uses better
spam filters/blocks or most of my spam was "sprayed" at all mediafun
users.

Anyway, the filter works pretty well, in a sense.
