Well, there is a familial resemblance. The 968 uses a Getrag transaxle which
happens to be suffering pinion bearing failures not unlike the failures in
the Getrag transaxles in the North American '92 - '93 UrS4s. A lot of 968
owners are up in arms over this - apparently Porsche isn't too eager to step
up to the plate on repairs.
