4KQ rear control arm bushing HELP!!!!

Huw,

I just read your description of the bushings by following the link you
posted. I have one little remark, I replaced the same bushings on my
sisters 1987 VW Passat (aka Quantum) and found through a little bit of
research that the bushings you've described as the older type, is for
cars without power steering and the later steel sleeved type is for cars
with power steering. Any comments from the list, am I completely wrong here?
