I looked under the hood of my 89 100q cause the heater motor
doesn't work
all the time, I am going to replace it, but does anyone know if
I have to
remove the whole black heater box, or is there a trick out there
to do if
fast and easy?

And does anyone have a used motor that's for sale....cheep?

1. There's lots of stuff on this in the archives. Search under terms you
think are relevant. Also search under the term, "steak knife." You'll see
why. It'll answer your question about the trick to do the job fast and
easy.

2. Cheapest you'll find this motor is $90-$100 at that parts dealer in
Fishkill, NY. I forget their name. "Double something"? They're on Ebay
all the time. Also check the usual vendors. It's a close to $200 dealer
part. Do not buy a used one. The design of these cars is that this motor
is almost always running. Anything used is used up.

3. Do you know about the trick to get the motor to run a while longer in
place? If you don't find it when searching the archives for the steak knife
technique, let me know. You can usually get these motors to run for a few
more months with this quick procedure.
