SEMA is a large hot-rod club with some political power in the US. The keep
a close eye on various laws that affect "the car hobby."

The warranty statute I was referring to is a US statute, but SEMA may
very well have some useful information on Canadian law as well.  I'd look
over their website and/or send them an email. Perhaps there's a similar
organization up north?
