A few years ago a friend of mine was trapped against the wall of his garage
when the Jaguar he was restoring rolled down the ramps. Luckily, this was a
shell without engine or box and he was eventually able to push it a few
inches and slide out of the way. Cracked ribs, internal injuries and some
damage to his pelvis. Six months before he could walk without pain.

At least he lived, when I was 18 my best friend died pinned under his car by
the gearbox he was changing. Two days before he was found.

I'll bet we've all done these things, quick job so don't bother with jack
stands, change a 'box or pull an engine without help - I know I have, but
really its not worth it.
