Try using an EZ-out, I found that the pound in the square type works
better than the reverse thread type in this situation, there just isn't
enough material in the bleeder to get enough purchase from the reverse
thread EZ-out.
Alternately, if the EZ-out doesn't work, it's worth the try to save the
caliper using a two piece nipple, probably will have to find a speed shop
or serious auto parts store to find them. Drill out the old nipple using
the appropriate size drill, drill for the specified tap, screw in the new
nipple using teflon tape. The only problem is that the nipple is smaller,
so using a vacuum bleeder will NOT work, which is okay per the type 44,
they specify a pressure bleed set-up. Worked fine for my GTi, which I
Solo2 race.
