Audi LS 100...low mileage

My recollection is that the US/Canada market only received the LS, but I
found it very much similarly equipped to the European GL as far as equipment
levels. We had just recently entered the C2 world in 1976 when we came to
visit Canada, and we had a new Canadian spec C1 100 LS to drive thanks to my
fathers connections at VW Canada. I found that the trim and equipment on
that vehicle were very similar to our "old" 100 GL that we had until the C2
arrived. Even back then, there were a lot of options one could specify in
Europe, whereas the NA market received a "single-spec" car. Our last C1 in
Europe had all kinds of options like rear headrests and a vinyl roof (seemed
cool at the time).

Did the US just get the LS version of the 100 C1? I've never seen anything
else in a US version.
In Europe, there were several trim versions with lower and higher-powered
engines.

PS There's a US Audi 100 C1 for sale on a web site here in Holland, saw a
4kq on the same site and two 5ks for sale locally. Apparently, quite a few
US cars have made it over here.
