Well, when I see my friends with A2 Golfs that have around 140k kms (far
less than 100k miles, about 85k) and are experiencing reliabilty issues, I
can't but laugh at them as my car now has 300.800 kms (188.000 miles) and
everything including the shocks (I mean the pumps :->) is stock on it!
Well, I can't wait till this summer when hopefully I get my
turbo/EFI/knock-sensing ignition conversion done...I've been gathering
parts for a few months but now I'm trying to source a cheap 3B engine for
the conversion as the 10vt conversion would mean the same amount of time
involved in this conversion...I'll keep the list posted when I find the
engine and as the work progresses...hopefully in about 2-3 weeks i'll be
swapping my old and shot "pump" shocks for a brand new set of Konis and
installing a set of Porsche brakes, along with a pair of 270*25mm front
rotors to be able to keep my nice 15" Ronals.
