I think "larger screwdriver" was a misinterpretation of what the service 
manual says.  It actually describes and names a drag link socket, which 
looks like a large flat-bladed screwdriver with a 1/2-inch drive fitting on 
the end.  The 1/2-inch version of a drag link socket is two mm too wide in 
the blade, so Bentley advises taking a mm off each edge.
