Actually the MODA R1's by BBS came with the car I recently purchased so I
don't have much experience with them. They seem ok. It's still winter here.
They have Dunlop Sport 9000 tires mounted. Tires are in good shape, probably
a bit more than half the tread remains. I wish to sell them as well as a set
of the stock 16" Avus wheels w/Blizzaks. Both size 225/50-16. $600 set for
the Moda w/9000 and $650 set for the Avus w/ Blizzak. Detailed pictures are
available. I could swap tires on the rims if you wish. Price could change
too.
I need 17" to clear brakes. I am going with SSR Competition 17 x 8.5 ET35.
They are light. 15.5# each. This will put me approximately 3# under the
stock weight of wheel/tire/rotor/caliper w/bracket. I've been told that
reciprocating weight is the best weight to lose. I have yet to determine how
much of that I have reduced. I need to weigh the rotor/hat/wheel/tire
compared to stock rotor/wheel/tire. I was told 1# equals 11# reciprocating.
Best regards,
Tim Leonard
