Not to knock Z's, but they haven't struck me as being particularly
powerful either. Fun, awfully sweet looking (little Ferrari 365GTB
Daytona coupe style) and in particular I loved my cousins until she sold
it (without telling me. It was even a southern car, so it hadn't been bit
by the metal moth). Actually the earliest affordable coupe that I thought
was "powerful" (no flames please) was the first F.I. Mustang GT's, which
were cheaper than even 16V Sciroccos (which, though numerically not
powerful, were comparatively rather quick, at 0-60 mph in 7.9 seconds
16.1 through the quarter. Of course a lot newer tech than the 'Z, but
comparatively old tech to the Miata.
