NAC A more powerful Z

Out of the box a 240,260,280 Z is not a terribly quick car but then neither
was my CGT.   There is however a lot of relatively cheap performance options;
 V8 swaps are a little heavy IMHO but still powerful. A Datsun diesel crank
can be used to turn a 2.8 into a 3.1 stroker that with the right cam and a
triple carb set-up will produce around 300hp and gobs of torque. Also a
more insane swap involves the Nissan Skyline 2.6 twin turbo straight six. I
have seen several of these swaps done on Japanese cars.... The RB26DETT
(Nissan code) can be made to produce over 900hp on the street and has been
dynoed over 1300hp in race apps. The RB26 is available through at least one
west coast importer and this is essentially a bolt in swap from what I have
read. Couple even 300hp with a RWD Z that might weigh 2300lbs and you have a
scary driftin' beast.....

Just my 2 cents on the merits of a non-Audi By the way Skylines are 4x4
