NAC A more powerful Z

In the Toronto Area, Lucky Star motors imports Jap spec motors for swap.
I believe that the RB26 is one of the available motors. More then likely
they will have stock motors for the R33 and R32 available. Basically the
Japanese emissions laws are so strict that all motors must be replaced after
a certain mileage regardless of exhaust output. Lucky Star imports the
discarded Jap spec motors, which are still more powerful then many of our
standard motors of the same car. I find myself surrounded by Type R civics
in town, twin turbo MK2 Supras, and Vspec Precidias and I long for a 20V
turbo for my 4k (MAC). No, lucky star doesn't have any Audi motors from
Europe. I checked.

Out of the box a 240,260,280 Z is not a terribly quick car but then neither
was my CGT. There is however a lot of relatively cheap performance
options;
V8 swaps are a little heavy IMHO but still powerful. A Datsun diesel
crank
can be used to turn a 2.8 into a 3.1 stroker that with the right cam and a
triple carb set-up will produce around 300hp and gobs of torque. Also a
more insane swap involves the Nissan Skyline 2.6 twin turbo straight six. I
have seen several of these swaps done on Japanese cars.... The RB26DETT
(Nissan code) can be made to produce over 900hp on the street and has been
dynoed over 1300hp in race apps. The RB26 is available through at least
one
west coast importer and this is essentially a bolt in swap from what I have
read. Couple even 300hp with a RWD Z that might weigh 2300lbs and you have
a
scary driftin' beast.....

Just my 2 cents on the merits of a non-Audi By the way Skylines are 4x4
