a company named Schley makes 'em for VW/Audi. i rented it from an
outfit in Michigan that specializes in VW/Audi parts but i can't
remember the name. I think Blau rents 'em out as well. From my
experience, it's not as simple or easy as it appears. it required lots
of muscle to manually press those bearings out/in and you might end up
ripping the rubber for the ball joints. it worked better on my VW
Scirocco cuz it used a smaller bearing. The Audi was a bear. You'd be
better off pulling the whole assembly and taking it to a machine shop
and have them press it out or take to a friend w/ a press. it's cheaper
than renting it.

I need to replace my front Type 44 wheel bearings, and I really want to
do it on the car.
