Driven Vancouver to So Cal many times.  I live in Newport Beach, Ca. There is 
quite a few cool places( Restaruants/Bars, Shops),Etc...  on the way down you 
should check out.  I am in the Automotive Industry so if you want some shops 
to hit on the way down or up let me know.  I have quite a list of places to 
recommend. Used to live in SF and SD and spend a lot of time in PS also. But 
defiantly take the 101 to LA its so much nicer than sitting on the boring 5 
all the way down. What's the ride?
