guage of wire from rad fan?

Can any of you comfirm the guage of wire from the rad. fan to ground, Looks like it is 8 guage (I could only get 10 at Ace) and also the guage of the wire that runs to the relay under the dash, looks like it is 10 guage, not sure due to the melting.
