I wouldn't, kind of harsh.
Vinylex, Mother's Back To Black, or P21S Total Auto Wash(I recommend
heavily diluting it, since it's expensive and still strong enough.)
Simple Green is also a degreaser, should do the job too. Certainly apply
some kind of protectant afterwards(Vinylex just doesn't work on exterior
surfaces since it's water based.)
Vinylex and P21S TAW are both quite useful just about everywhere else too;
the P21S is great for cleaning up "hidden" body panels/engine
compartment,, interior plastic trim items, etc; it can also be used as an
aggressive cleaner for the outside paintwork too(ie, to remove the old
wax.)
I cleaned all the plastic surfaces in my 200q20v recently and was
amazed at all the dark black gunky stuff that came off absolutely
everything plastic/vinyl in the car; the dash took three cleanings alone.
I followed up with Vinylex for protection/looks, save on the dash. It's
absolutely amazing how much better said surfaces look.
