Brandon Hi,

I had similar problems with my RS2.

Turned out it was a faulty engine temperature sensor (the one based on the
back of the engine right on top of the crankshaft and below the cylinder
head.

Cost was less than 15 US$ bought from AUDI spare parts. Took 2 minutes to
change it.
