Brett,

No emissions in my state.  Does this change things? Arguably not.

A side benefit to the 'test' pipe is that I cured a loss of power in the
upper rpm's.  I think that with 172K on the original cat, was having it's
effect.  Why do they have 'test' pipes in the first place?  For the exact
reason that I'm using one.

As such, the 'test' pipe will be replaced in the summer with a proper high
flow cat.

My point for making the post is not to rally all of us to go out and kill
our cats.  My point is, as the post states, is to show where there are gains
to found.  A very big one is the cat.

BTW, my mileage also went up after the deletion.  Hmmmmm.
