Personally, I think he is full of crap. I've been running 50/50 mix of Mobil1
synthetic with regular dino oil, and if anything, my oil consumption has gone
down (OK, so I'm a little cheap, I like the cold weather starting with synthetic,
but hate to put that much money in if it was full synthetic). The only oil my V6
loses right now is through a leaking oil pan gasket, and I've got around 133k
miles. Granted, when I first bought the car, I dumped in some Gunk engine cleaner
just before every oil change to try and clean the crap out of the engine.
