Velcro my man, velcro.
I need to add an anti-gravity device to mine as well.  The added weight makes
it want to stay in the down position without help.  I have a few options...
either velcro or maybe an adhesive mounted "clip" of some kind that I could
add a latch or something to.  I'll think of something...
