burning oil

   Eric,

  I'm going throught the same thing but I have a 90
200tqa with 204k I allso got a lot of service records
meticulus mantinance
 but after owning the car for a month I changed the
oil from I think it was Valvoilne oil cause thats what
kind of filter I found on it obviouslly not a proper
filter so I changed to Mann filter and 15/50w Mobil
synthetic in about a months time I found the car
burnet 2 1/2 quarts of oil so after the lists help and
lots of brake clean to clean the underside of the car
to detect where the oil was going
first I found,
 oil commin from the oil pump housing tightened the
bolts for that and that stoped the oil loss but about
a week later I was checking a low boost problem and
just happened to look at the oil level and found that
I was still loosing oil so I changed back to regular
oil Mobil still just not synthetic and so far the
level has stayed pritty good that might be something
to

 I allso get some smoke out the rear muffler only on
start up and then it goes away when the car is warm
I haden't thought anything of it till the other day
when I was comming of a exit ramp and had to avoid a
car so I punched it and noticed some smoke out the
rear pipe as I was looking to see where the car that
(I guesse you can say I cut off) hey what do you want
I just found 0.3 more boost I was only gettin 1.7 bar
with a IA stageII mod Ned saied that I'm supposed to
be gettin 2.0 bar and I found 2.0 but while doing it
like I saied previous I did notice some smoke so I'm
going to do the seals and a timing belt, and the cam
lifters, springs, ect..
 so untill you do something I'de change to regular oil
for the time being at $22 a 6 pack it could get
costly.
