Powder coating alloy wheels

Hi all,

Just retrieved my wheels from the guy who's blasted and powder coated them.
These were the 15x7 Ronal R8s that I've found in a scrapyard a while ago.
While straight and true, they were very corroded and had been thickly
repainted silver.
While I'm satisfied with the toughness of the finish, I wouldn't recommend
leaving powder coated wheels unpainted, if only for aesthetic reasons. The
corroded spots have eaten into the alloy and this has not been filled and
hidden by the powder coat. This might not be a problem when your wheels are
nice and smooth to start with, but it is when they're as corroded as mine.
I've decided to respray the wheels in Zermatt anyway, so I guess I could
use a little skim of filler to smooth the surface out and then respray them.

Oh well, more work...

Bye, Tom
