Something much more accurate and affordable is the good ol' "U-tube"
manometer. Put a barb (drill & tap, or tee into existing/convenient lines)
on each side of the AF (IC, throttle plate, or whatever) and run a long
piece of tube from each barb, and through the cockpit.
The manometer is very sensitive, allowing you to select fluids that are the
right density to give good resolution in your available space (floor to
ceiling, for example).
