Yup, the Thule rack on my 80 left some ugly scratch marks under its
neoprene-covered feet also. Strangely enough these appeared after only a
short drive and with a clean car- I took care not to trap dirt under the
rack. The damage is limited to the footprint of the neoprene pads.

I will not use this rack on my 90q.
