Watching old film of F1 I saw many occasions in the
pre-WWII era and also the early portion of the "modern
era" when the #1 mans car broke and a teammate was
called to surrender his car in hopes of gaining the
maximum points towards the championship.
Occasionally, they won. In a different car than the
one they started in. This is certainly nothing new,
although I really do feel for Ruebens, and I also
believe Micheal is really sincere. This did not help
his reputation as a great champion.
