It did? Let's see...in the 1955 Italian GP, Peter Collins suffered the
same fate as Ruebens Barrichello did. Ferrari handed over the driver's
title to Juan Manuel Fangio there with "team orders" so this is nothing
new in F1 as some would like to believe.
Regardless of what the Ferrari team does to help build points for
Schumacher, it is up to the other "teams" to rise to the level of
Ferrari and beat them. Thus far that has not happened very well this
year. I had higher hopes for Williams (a team I tend to detest but
really like both drivers) and Montoya being more competitive.
