"clipping" a K24?

Hello all,

My understand of the "clipping" mod, is when the blades of the hot side of a turbo are trimmed to let more exhaust past/through the turbo.  It makes the turbo act like a larger one in some way?  My guess is to reduce the exhaust restriction so the motor can exhale at higher rpms.

I know that this is done to turbos with a K26 hot side.  But I was thinking that a K24, being a smaller turbo than a K26, might pose even more of a restriction.  On the surface, it seems that a K24 might benefit from the clipping thing even more than a K26, for our turbo motors.

I haven't hear much about this mod at all, but at least I've heard of it being done to K26's.  Is it done or useful on K24's?  If not (if so), why?
