Hi all

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything.  I have been too busy to=
 work on the car('84 4KQ).   I finally had some time recently and went to f=
inally finish the rear struts.  I went to start it to pull into the garage =
and the battery has decided to go south.  After a jump and a quick 'round t=
he block, into the garage we go.  Went to jack up the rear and, duh, better=
 loosen the axle bolt.  Grab the breaker and the 30mm socket and gee whiz i=
t is 32mm - I do not own a 32mm socket.  Off to Richlin - at least the batt=
ery held a charge for 15 minutes!!!  Back in the garage and loosen the axle=
 bolt and jack up the rear.  I knew at least I could get the caliper off an=
d after breaking a bolt on the front carrier I decided that doing the strut=
 insert replacement with the disc in place was not so bad.  OK what is the =
next thing to loosen, the tie rod end.  I replaced both rear tie rods only =
two or three years ago.  I must have REALLY tightened the nut  - it strippe=
d=2E  Put everything back together and I am gaining courage to go at it aga=
in but I am not there yet.

Things still to do...
-Rear Struts
-alignment
-front and rear brake pads
-battery?
-tranny/diff oil change

I think I will be too old to drive standard shift by the time I get it all =
sorted out!!!
