My old '84 4kq never had _good_ a/c. It was barely adequate-however I never
did have it recharged before selling the car. When i purchased my '84 urq I
expected the a/c to be the same. It, however, was much better. And since,
I've recently had it converted to R134a (I was having the heater core
replaced--so did a/c while in there) it is actually very nice. So maybe you
should have the a/c serviced/recharged. ??
