Silly me.  I do believe I've found the cause of the burbling noises
coming from the head; it's the damn cap, keeping the system from
pressurizing.

I'm messing around under the hood and the engine was shut off 20-30
minutes prior, after considerable driving, so it got up to full temp.
As I'm messing around, I notice the cap's making odd little "Hello,
I'm leaking" noises.

What say the list?  Replacement time, eh?  Yes, the cap has been
through one Green Geyser style overheat(which, if I remember
correctly, is automatic replacement material.)
