how to disable airbag 200q? Bad combo switch?

I'm looking to disable my airbag on my newly acquired '90 200q so I can exa=
mine/replace my combo switch.

Second question: what happens when a combo switch goes bad? My strange beha=
vior is this: all the lights (parking, turn, head) all work as they're supp=
osed to. There is no problem at all when the light switch is in the off pos=
ition. In the parking and headlight positions, the dash lighting gets screw=
ed up. If I use a turn signal, both of the turn signal lights flash, along =
with the highbeam indicator. As this is happening, the right side of the da=
sh gets dimmer, then brighter. All of the external lights work properly, ho=
wever. If I use the hazards, the behavior is similar, with only the highbea=
m indicator being brighter.
