No need to disable the airbag, the strange behavior is caused by a bad
ground in the instrument cluster. You need to pull the instrument
cluster and re-solder/fix the bad connection. Somebody pointed me to a
nice page with pictures when I had this problem, but I don't remember
the URL, maybe somebody else does.. :-)
