You will indeed need to slightly bend the Right front tie-rod in order to
clear the wastegate, but other than that there are no particular issues in
doing a KV/KX/JT > WR conversion... the point is that you'll be having an
engine with VERY low compression (7:1) that will have lots of lag... you'll
be better swapping a K24 with the watercooling circuit while you're there
but IMHO, the best coupe quattro turbo swap is the MB (or 1B/2B from an
euro 200 turbo) because it has a much higher compression ratio (8.6:1) and
that engine with a K24 turbo and an ECU modification for 2.2 Bar absolute
pressure is absolutely great! I was going to do that conversion on my coupe
quattro as well but I chose the 20vt 3B conversion route because I found a
complete 200q20v for the same price as a complete engine with the harness
and ECU (about 1200 Euros)...
Just a thought,

'85 Coupe quattro, due for a 20vt conversion for this summer, as well as
new shocks, Eibach springs and lots of other mods including Porsche brakes
