5kcstq, hot "econ" air

Ah so, the one that has a spring that breaks! (?)

Yet another unexplored part of the car that needs looking into. I'll definitely look into this. It just seems like there is some heating going on.

That failure mode was fog on the windshield or something, right? Not that fog has much of a change around here, so I wouldn't see that.

So, when the heater is off, not only the heater valve gets closed, but the airflow is diverted as well.

I always wondered if, generally speaking, the temp of the heater core itself needs to come down to ambient after turning off the heater, before air can flow at ambient temps. Mostly in regards to "regular" cars, since I didn't know of any heater control besides the valve controlling flow to the core.

Sounds like Audi put in a door too.

Thanks Robert! I was thinking it wouldn't be the programmer, since I could see the heater valve working its magic.

Oh joy! If my a/c was having to overcome the heater core, that would be great once fixed. It might get colder! =)
