Funny. I just posted last week how my rear caliper
rebuild was doing so well with no maintanence/checks.
Since it has hung up. Only in wet weather. Only on
inital release, especially if inintally reversing. As
soon as I drive forward all is well. The piston is
NOT sticking. Hubs and rotors remain cool after
driving. It might be surface rust on the rotors from
all the moisture, but the moisture was also there for
the first 50k after rebuild. The cables are both new
OEM last Nov. so I can probably rule them out. It
might be the infamous "cam" needing lube. I'm maybe
leaning toward the intenal portion as I haven't
flushed the rears in the 50k/2yr. interval. Maybe all
crudded up again. Or maybe my rubber? (what compound
is that common o-ring? Buna-N?) o-rings have finally
failed? I'll check. Maybe this weekend. I'll let
y'all know what I find.
