Directional tread tire on wrong side?

Folks,

Bent one of my Ronal R28s a few years ago and finally
picked up a replacement. I'm planning on using the
bent wheel with directional tread tire (Pirelli
p7000ss) as a spare to save a few bucks. (my big
brakes require 17" wheels)

Is it ok to use a directional tread tire as a spare or
should I just buy a cheap tire?
