Inside engine cleaning

I recently came across this forum:

http://theoildrop.server101.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi

where there is a lot of seemingly genuine knowlege about current
lubrication technology and a real dedication to oil analysis. Fascinating
reading! In any case, this product:

http://www.auto-rx.com/index.html

has many many satisfied users and seemingly solid science (as well as a
money back guarantee). I've never used it, but when I get my e-bay '87
4kcsq on the road I may give it a try.

I can say from experience that Huw's warning about big pieces getting
loose with solvent-based cleaners is legit; suffice to say I'll never use it
again. the above referenced product cleans in a more gentle (=slow)
fashion, but faster than just running synthetic.

  $0.02,
Robert
