quattro digest, Vol 1 #4151 - Too much advertising

That's cute. To add to the fray, the latest issue of
Grassroots Motorsports did a comparo of FWD,
RWD, and AWD cars of similar size, HP and
SCCA Solo2 Stock performance catagory.

THe cars, Acura RSX-S, BMW 330is, Subie WRX.

The tests, multiple drivers, dry and wet. On an autocross
course (BTW, if you are into Autocross, they test
street and DOT-R radials in the same issue).

The results, though the margins were small:

Subie #1, quicker dry, quicker wet, MOST consistent,
driver to driver, and run to run.
Acura #2, nearly as quick, almost as consistent, biggest
drawback, can't accelerate until wheels pointed straight
BMW #3, slightly slower when comparing fastest to
fastest, noticably slower when comparing average in
both wet and dry catagories. Consistent runs, in either
case, ALL over the place.

Okay, not a direct Audi vs. BMW comparo, but, it's a
close objective Q vs Bimmer comparo.
