A3 in the US, FS

    Because the A3 is a unique car to this continent and the fact that it
would obviously have low Km and be in nice condition after a few years of
being a committed show car and Mod display car, a high price wouldn't be
unreasonable.  However, you guys are right.  There is a company in B.C.
Canada that I researched for engine swaps for my A2 Jetta a few years back.
They added a service to VW A4 owners to add the TT Quattro and 1.8T from
said setup to any A4 VW from the dealer.  You just ship the car out there
and they'll do the swap and mod for I believe approx. $10,000 CAD.  Not a
bad deal and around the same price as your 5 year old A3 in USD.  I don't
remember the company, but I'm sure at least ONE of us has more info and just
forgotten it.  I'll look for the link in the meantime.
