For the record TT bodyshells are made at Ingolstadt then shipped by rail in sealed conatainers for final assembly, they then get reailroaded back to Ingolstadt for a quality check then they get put in a bag that covers the entire car and then shipped wherever in the world they may go.
Part of the paint process involves the bodyshell of the TT being out through a carwash with no water just hige brushes made of ostrich feathers to dust them off before the top coats of paint are put on, the brushes cost £50K gbp each.
