All this talk about where Audi's are made reminds me of a story i was told whilst out on a factory tour with work to Ingolstadt earlier this year.

Audi just after the last world war had all their car producing factories in east germany, now with that being in the hands of the russians they had a choice. Either make cheap russian cars or pack up, the packed up wound the company up and started again in west germany, the only reason they went to Ingolstadt was they had existing parts warehouses there which they converted into car manufacturing plants, and the rest is history........
