GM has now injected lots of money into the Lada factory, the purpose of
this is to produce Opels for Russia and other eastern countries and the
new Lada Niva (completely new car, not the old tractor) will soon be
avalable in Europe as the Chevrolet Niva, to compete with cars such as
the Toyota Rav-4, Honda CR-V, Land Rover Freelander and the like.
