who replaced their wastegate diaphragm?

Can you replace this on the car?  How do you hold the
shaft to remove the nut?  How did you hold the shaft
OFF the car?  I have air tools.  I finally got my
donor apart without damaging the replacement
diaphragm.  It looks mint.  22k miles.  I'd rather not
remove the wastegate from my car.
