My engine will free rev but the reverse gear will not  engage.  All of the =
other gears work fine.  After I left it sit for awhile, it engaged, then th=
e same problem recurred.  I added fluid, but it did not help at all. No for=
ewarning of any kind.  Then I notice something strange.  When I moved the g=
earshift lever through 1,2,3 and neutral, the indicator correctly noted sam=
e, but when in reverse, the indicator says 3.  This sound like an electroni=
c problem.

Has anyone had this type of problem with an Audi automatic.
