No, he's correct. The lower wg chamber on the WR is connected with a
stainless steel (or steel/rubber/steel on later cars) pipe to the exhaust
manifold.
Only the really early ones had a full stainless pipe, my early 81 has it but
my later 81 had the three part (steel/rubber/steel) set-up.
