Quick 4KQ question.

I'm in the process of reconnecting all the vacuum connections in my 87 4KQ
and had a few questions about the carbon can / fuel tank vent system. For
the life of me I cant' figure out what controls when the system functions
and when it does not (ie when does it purge the carbon canister/ fuel tank).
In previous cars I had this function was controlled by engine temperature
I've reviewed the Bentley and can see the two large vacuum diaphragm
"switches" that must provide some control, but can't figger it out.

Just curious (and bored, apparently)
