5k Pierburg fuel pump: intake screen

Ditto.  The removing the screen issue is actually a fuel tank coating issue.
The reason for removing the screen is because it gets clogged up by the
peeling inside coating of the tank.  If the inside of your tank is not
peeling, no need to remove the screen.

I left mine on and so far no problems.
