Removal of clutch slave cyl

I have had the same trouble getting the rolled pin out. I did take the wheel
off hooked together a bunch of extensions and ductaped the punch to the end.
Apparently the rolled pin only wants to come out, if I punch it from the
passenger side. If I go from the drivers side it just doesn't want to come
out. I don't know why, but this was my experience. What I am telling here,
is that if the pin doesn't want to budge, give it a try from the other side,
because on my '86 5KCSTQ it definitely does not want to come out, if I punch
it from the drivers side. I have done this three times now, and the second
time I went from the other side, and got all worried about it, until I
remembered that I went from the other side before. Then it started moving,
right from the first tap of my hammer. I also don't drive the pin all the
way out, but just enough to get the slave out. This makes it easier to tap
it back in there, while cramming the slave in position with my left hand,
also less chance of loosing the pin. Make sure to loosen the hose before
getting the slave out.
Just my 2c
Martin.
